The IT Manager serves as a technical leader, process evangelist, and people manager for a cross-functional team delivering multi-platform solutions. This role combines product ownership, agile facilitation, and DevOps governance to drive secure, high-quality releases while adhering to ISO/SOC2 standards.
Agile Leadership & Process Ownership
- Act as co-product owner, collaborating with stakeholders to define vision, prioritize backlogs, and ensure solutions meet business and security requirements.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups), supporting the team to move into a state of self-organization.
- Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices, enforcing strict pipelines, automated testing, and audit trails for compliance.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor QA analysts, BAs, architects, and developers, fostering skill growth and accountability.
- Conduct performance reviews, resolve conflicts, and align career development with organizational goals.
- Optimize team composition by hiring or restructuring roles to address project needs.
- Embed security controls into all phases of development (design, coding, testing, deployment).
- Mitigate risks by reviewing architecture decisions and third-party integrations.
Technical Oversight
- Review technical designs for scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
- Resolve cross-team dependencies and resource bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot critical issues affecting system stability or compliance.
Stakeholder Accountability
- Report progress and risks to executives using metrics (velocity, defect rates, compliance gaps).
- Negotiate scope and timelines with business units while safeguarding technical integrity.
- Escalate impediments requiring leadership intervention (e.g., budget, cross-departmental conflicts).
